Net voor het WK Voetbal in 2022, bezocht ik voor de 8e keer Doha in Qatar.
Een warm land, in de term van temperaturen zeker.
In de zomer kan het er makkelijk 50 gr Celsius worden.
Hard lopen naar het zwembad is er dan ook niet bij.
Want zo snel je naar het zwembad gaat rennen, zo snel wil je binnen bij de airco zitten.

Qatar is een emiraat aan de Perzische Golf.
Het is een schiereiland dat grenst aan Saoedi-Arabi\u00eb en ligt ten oosten van de eilandstaat Bahrein.
Aan het hoofd van het emiraat Qatar staat sjeik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Qatar heeft een van de beste vliegtuigmaatschappijen ter wereld, Qatar Airways<\/a>.
Op mijn trips naar Australie gebruik ik heel vaak deze vliegtuigmaatschappij.
Ik probeer ook altijd een paar dagen in de stad te verblijven of voor bezoek aan vrienden of lekker eens door de stad te wandelen.

Mensenrechten en de behandeling van anders geaarde mensen ( in welke vorm dan ook ), blijft voor vele van ons een begrijpelijke issue, zo ook voor mij.
Alle aandacht welke het land in positieve of negatieve zin zal krijgen, tijdens het hosten van WK 2022, is zeker ook in het voordeel voor alle betrokkenen in deze kwesties.
Maar aan de andere kant heeft het land ook geen last van criminaliteit.
Qatar is een heel rijk land door de Olie en Aardgas aanwezig in het Emiraat.

Dubai is meer gericht op shopping terwijl Doha meer gericht is op cultuur.
Buiten dit alles is Doha zeker een stad wat het bezoeken waard is.
Probeer Doha wel te bezoeken in de maanden Oktober, November en December.
Een bezoek tegen het einde van het jaar is wat temperatuur betreft nog wel uit te houden.
